This song reminds me of that time. This was my first time to hear this catchy tune. I was completely caught off guard....in a good way ! I have listened to it numerous times today and I am still singing along. If you can combine CCR and an Irish Folk song that is what I am feeling in terms of a melody. I can definitely see or should I say hear a bar crowd singing the chorus the " Johnson's are in Town". Which makes me think the "Johnson's " are musicians that everyone young to old want to see. After a day with my nephew ( it's been a long time since I had a 3 year old around ) and then watching "The Wrestler"....I won't even go through the range of emotions I had after watching that movie. It was kinda like a Merrily, Merrily, Row Your Boat thing. Sounded so good. Like half a bar was singing Johnson's are in Town and seconds later the other half chimed in at the beginning again. Try it, you'll like it. -------------------- Of all your songs, this one best lends itself to a story/music video/jumping off point for a show! Remember that HBO show - Carnival? Magical things were always happening around the time the carnival blew into/threw town. And the blew; as if on the wind. Not bound by the constraints of actual physics. Such is the way of the Johnson Boys. You may not know when they've come and when they've gone, exactly, but you're different. Things have changed. There's a big of magic rolling with those boys. And they're back in town.
