You know what you've got here? I'd say you've got a song about the ambivalence of some divorces, not about a guy and a girl dating and breaking up, cause till your hitched, breaking up matters. When you break up while dating you say, "oh shit, what IF..." In my experience, "separation" is when you know what would happen, you know "what if" . You took the leap of faith and it fell apart despite, despite whatever and so you say, "it doesn't matter enough". It's a very tired way to let go. It doesn't matter and you "guess" it's over, you GUESS you're going... What a difference a day (song) makes..... Relationships are never easy. It takes so much work from both people involved to keep the love alive. So many times we want to throw in the towel when life/relationship gets too difficult or the "Fun" disappears. I am feeling that a third party was involved in this sad break up. And not just anyone but, the good friend of the guy. Like he never saw it coming that his "Buddy" was going to take his girl away. Not good but, happens often. Happy song tomorrow ? ...please
